Orientation workshop of the new committees
The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkiizi has condemned political leaders who go on TVs, radios and social media platforms spreading propaganda that those who voted for them will be removed from Compassion International Child development centers.
These words he said them while in the orientation workshop of the new committees who were recently selected for the 6 projects of Kayungwe, Kajugangoma, Rutenga, Rushaka, Butogota and Kambuga.
It is said that the MP for Kinkiizi East Hon Dr. Chris Baryomunsi went on NTV and his radio claiming that caregivers in Kajugangoma Child development center were being threatened that their children will be removed from benefiting from compassion international in case they vote for him.
These claims were discovered to be lies upon intervention by the responsible team from the diocese and compassion international. It was actually discovered that he was seeking for sympathy vote and promoting politics of division based on religion and tribe.
The Bishop further taught the members present in this workshop about how they should take care of the children who are the leaders of the nation in the future quoting from the Bible verse Psalm 127:3 which say that Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and a reward fruit of the womb.
The (PF) Partnership Facilitator of ‎Compassion International, Mr James Katumba was present accompanied by all compassion overseers, project directors and staff and all Diocesan heads of departments. (SOUND BITE: Bishop Dan Zoreka Officially opens the workshop)
