Rugyeyo Archdeaconary iron sheets returned

It was all joy and a sigh of relief as leaders and Christians in Rugyeyo Archdeaconry received back iron sheets that had earlier been confiscated by police due to some misunderstandings form local politicians.
Last year 2020, there was uproar in Kashayo church of Uganda after the parish council decided to sell off red iron sheets that had been donated by Kinkizi East Mp, which did not please him.
The misunderstanding developed when the MP Kinkiizi East promised to roof the church yet Dr. James Musinguzi Garuga- a business tycoon had already promised to roof the same church and had already taken a step to take all measurements for the required iron sheets and handed them to the roofings factory for manufacture of the exact measurements (Top-Down).
When the donation from the Kinkizi East legislator arrived, the parish council convened and resolved to sell off the iron sheets, use the money to buy other roofing requirements as they wait for the donation from Dr. Garuga.
This did not go down well with the minister who ordered for an investigation that led to the confiscation of the iron sheets and subsequent arrest of all people who had bought them.
How ever, The investigations by a team of detectives from CID Kibuli – Kampala found no offense and as such returned the confiscated iron sheets, which were received by the archdeacon Rugyeyo Ven Eric Byaruhanga in the presence of the Diocesan Secretary Rev. Can. Kenneth Kanyankole, Kanungu police, Chairman Development Committee among other witnesses.
