Planning workshop for CDC at Ngoto Island Tourism Hub Bwindi.
Bishop Dan Zoreka called upon the Diocesan Project Officers to defend the cause of helping the needy children. He said this while at the official opening of the ONE days planning workshop for Child Development Centers that took place at Ngoto Island Tourism Hub – Bwindi.
He emphasized that, what was written by the prophet in Isaiah 1:17, the Project Directors, Community Development Officers, Overseers and CPC Chairpersons are required to do good, seek justice and rebuke the oppressors of the needy children at their various Compassion Project Centers.
The Kanungu District LC5 Chairperson, Engineer Sam Kajojo, who was present to do the official closing of workshop, thanked the diocesan administration for the job well done in the holistic ministry that the diocese is doing in the youth and children of the 6 projects of Kayungwe, Kambuga, Rushaka, Butogota, Kajugangoma and Rutenga. He promised to work with the church to ensure the maximum development of the district. Engineer Sam Kajojo pledged seed-piglets for all Compassion children who could afford to graze them.
Engineer Sam Kajojo further informed the participants that the people of Kanungu should utilize the government development programs such that they benefit accordingly. He gave the example of the tourism road constructions which are underway.
While in the workshop, they (Project officers) presented their work plans for the upcoming months, specifically what they are going to implement in their communities now that the lockdown has been eased. They highlighted the challenges met due to the Covid -19 Lock-down and suggested the possible solutions for the same.
The Bishop assured the project officers that, their rewards will be given to them by God from heaven.
